Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Verism. By using Verism, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the platform.

2. Accounts

You may create an account using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@verism.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Credits and Billing

Verism offers one free simulation and paid credit packs. The following applies to credit purchases:

• —Credits are sold in one-time packs — Starter (3 credits), Standard (12 credits), and Pro (30 credits). There are no subscriptions or recurring charges.
• —Credits never expire and can be used for any simulation type at any time.
• —All purchases are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card information.
• —Credits are non-transferable and may not be resold.
• —We reserve the right to change credit pack pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect credits already purchased.
• —All credit purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using credits you purchased, contact us at hello@verism.app and we will review your case.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• —Use Verism for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• —Attempt to circumvent credit limits, access controls, or free trial restrictions through multiple accounts or other means.
• —Attempt to manipulate, override, or bypass the AI systems powering Verism through prompt injection, jailbreaking, or similar techniques.
• —Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract any proprietary content or technology from Verism.
• —Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with Verism.
• —Reproduce, distribute, or resell any content generated by Verism without our written permission.

5. Fictional Content and Brand Disclaimer

All simulations on Verism — including career scenarios, workplace situations, dialogue, and characters — are entirely fictional and created for educational and entertainment purposes only.

Company and organization names used in simulations are used solely to provide realistic context. Verism is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any company or organization referenced in its simulations. Any resemblance to actual events, persons, or actual business practices at named organizations is coincidental. Nothing in any simulation should be construed as advice, guidance, or factual information about any specific employer.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, software, and technology on Verism — including simulation narratives, behavioral frameworks, AI-generated content, and platform design — is owned by or licensed to Verism. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any Verism content without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of any personal data you provide. By using Verism, you grant us a limited license to use your simulation data to operate and improve the platform.

7. Disclaimers

VERISM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. SIMULATION CONTENT IS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE CAREER, FINANCIAL, LEGAL, OR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERISM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO VERISM IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Account Deletion

To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at hello@verism.app. We will process your request within 30 days. Note that unused credits are forfeited upon account deletion and are not eligible for refund.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting notice on verism.app. Your continued use of Verism after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
